The RFP Process |
|
SolicitationThe solicitation portion of the RFP is often one of the biggest downfalls of the entire RFP process. Two big questions arise: To whom shall I send the RFP? and Where do I find them? Too often the ready answer to the first one is to send it to vendors with whom we already have established relationships - often a single vendor. Usually, when a company is going through the RFP process, it is because they are buying something they are not acustomed to purchasing; a complex Customer Relationship Management system, an Out-sourced Security Service, or a new facility. These are often not what their current vendors offer, and even when they are, the current vendors may not have the optimal solution. When buying something new, you want to be certain that you have found the best deal, on the best product possible. This means looking around and comparing a large number of alternatives. To do this, you need to reach beyond current relationships. The problem is though, that since you don't buy these items on a regular basis, you don't know who to ask. This is where Post-Your-RFP provides a solution. Posting an RFP on Post-Your-RFP reaches a larger audience of vendors. Several of them will have the solutions you are searching for. |
